Meet 25-year old artist, Felicia Newell

The meaning of Felicia is “happy, lucky, prosperous, you are giving, courageous and bold”

At 2 years old Felicia was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy after a very difficult entry onto this earth. Felicia also has severe cognitive and learning delays but never fails to surprise us on her accomplishments and perseverance. Her goal is to contribute to society, share her art with the world and to help those in need. Not a week goes by that she isn’t developing new ideas on how she wants to help her community.

She loves to sew, paint with Acrylics and a new found fun, painting with water color pens! Felicia and her mom spend many hours each week painting together and has always had a love for the arts having danced for several years as well. She loves to paint flowers and seasonal items on canvas or watercolor paper.  Felicia’s art is currently on display at her church.

To learn more about Felicia she was featured in the  book, Blossoms of My Life, written by IM Dauntless who was a teacher of hers for many years and helped inspire her in so many ways!
